Alene Ragland

Alene Ragland, 93, passed away Saturday June 17, 2023 at her home in Graham.  Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 20, 2023 in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Murray Cemetery in Young County.

Alene was born November 13, 1929 in Murray, Texas to the late Toye Bergest (Martin) Wootton and Samuel Percy Wootton.  She married William Edgar Ragland December 5, 1947 in Abilene.  He preceded her in death February 16, 1983.  Alene was a lifetime resident of Young County and a member Tonk Valley Methodist Church.

Survivor include; daughters, Sharon Ransbarger of Abilene, Martha McClanahan and husband Lynn of Graham; son-in-law, Mark Hamm, Sr, of Graham; grandchildren, Michael Ransbarger, Mark Hamm, Jr., and wife Amber, Jody Lambert and husband Cody, Jessica McClanahan, Melissa Floyd and husband Wade; great grandchildren, Jase, Keller, and Beckett Hamm, Colt and Kova Lambert, and Matilyn and Wyatt Floyd.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Connie Hamm, son-in-law Wendell Ransbarger, and a brother Bruce Wootton.

Family Visitation will be Monday June 19, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.  

Memorials may be made to; Tonk Valley Methodist Church, 1258 FM 3003, Graham or Beyond Faith Hospice who the Family extends their appreciation for the loving care to Alene, or your favorite charity.
