Alicia Joann Bradshaw

Alicia Joann Bradshaw came into this world on October 4, 1965, at Graham General Hospital and grew up in Graham, attending Graham High School. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Texas, with a focus on sales, then went on for her Master of Accounting and Financial Management degree. She had additional studies in International Marketing at the London School of Economics and Finance at the University of Texas. Her career in sales and marketing spanned companies from Nortel Networks to Lennox Industries, where she wrote the sales training manuals for HVAC businesses. She developed her own environmental, energy conscious consulting business "Ali Goes Green" and shared her knowledge for conserving energy in homes and buildings.

Alicia grew up baking for the annual 4-H competitions and collected more than her fair share of blue ribbons for perfect cookies and cream puffs. Throughout her life she loved to cook and hosted great parties. She edited two cookbooks, Ft Worth is Cooking! and Dallas is Cooking!.

Her funny jokes and sense of humor always made for enjoyable and lively conversations. In recent years, she composed a series of humorous essays about the family canine Tubby, as well as an almost-finished cookbook of original recipes for elegant everyday entertaining. She was born a natural entertainer. As a child she studied piano & voice with Alwana Vaughn and ballet. She participated in Graham's own All American Girl Pageant and the Graham Community Theater production of Oliver during high school. She became a great business presenter with poise and confidence on the podium.

Alicia loved to travel. Unafraid to live life to its fullest, she traveled through Europe beginning in late-September 2001 to indulge in her passion for exploring food and cultures.

Alicia lived in Plano with her beloved fiance Mark Austin. She was at home with Mark on August 11, 2014, when God called her to join Him and her loved ones who have gone before.

She was the firstborn daughter of the late Alyce Marie Davidson Bradshaw and John E. Bradshaw. She is preceded in death by her mom and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Davidson of Graham, Mary Louisa Wolf Bradshaw, and Edward Bradshaw, her aunt Martha Davidson Hinson, cousins Carey Pettus and David Hinson.

She will be sorely missed by her sisters Carol Jeanne Bradshaw of Los Angeles, CA and Gail-Ann Krieger, and her brother-in-law Jeffrey Krieger of Westlake, TX, her aunt Maurine Pettus of Graham, nieces Eleanor & Alexandra Krieger and nephew Archer Krieger, wonderful cousins Jane Hinson Cravens, Paul & Jan Hinson, Kent & Nancy Pettus, Sherry Pettus, Sherrill Pettus, Joann Pettus Thetford, Garrett Pettus and family, Wyatt Pettus and family, Jennifer Pettus Ellis and family, Heather Pettus Lindley and family, Jordan Pettus and family, Jeremy Pettus, Holly Hinson, Robbie Hinson and family, Nancy and John Hays, Mary and Ken Andrews, Diane Andrews Remington, close friends and her beloved dog Tubby.
