Allen Doyle Mayes

Allen Doyle Mayes, 52, is now home. He was called from this world to be with his Lord and Savior at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010, surrounded by his beloved family. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Gary Tull of Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Allen was born May 15, 1958 in Graham. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a foreman for the City of Graham.

Allen is survived by his wife, Barbara Mayes and parents Doyle and Lottie Mayes all of Graham; son, Greg Mayes and wife Heather, grandchildren Breann and Braylee Mayes of Graham; son, Dusty Mayes and wife Jaci of Loving; daughter, Staci Utterback and husband Brandon, grandchildren Bailey and Kaitlyn Utterback of Bowie; daughter, Heather Dobbs of Plano; step-daughters, Julia Sayles of Graham, Michelle Scitern and fiancé Danny House and grandson Nick House of Bryson; step-son, Billy Scitern and fiancé Stormy Brewer and granddaughter Aurora of Graham; sister, Carole Headrick of Graham and two nieces and one nephew along with several great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
