Alva Lee Hawkins

Alva Lee Hawkins, 85, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James C. Hill of Aledo and Reverend Richard Segars of Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Alva Lee was born on September 20, 1926 in Graham to the late Jason C. and Ida C. (Owen) Hawkins. He attended East Texas State in Commerce and Midwestern University in Wichita Falls. Alva Lee married Ima Lee Ragland on February 28, 1959 in Graham. He was a rancher, retired from Continental EMSCO Supply Company, and was a veteran of the United States Army. Alva Lee was a fifty year member of Young County Masonic Lodge # 485; B.A. Botts Chapter and Council, Scottish Rite in Lubbock, Maskat Shrine Temple in Wichita Falls, Lake Country R.V. Club Graham Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and the First Baptist Church in Graham.

Survivors include: wife, Ima Lee Hawkins of Graham; sister-in-law, Alene Ragland of Graham; brother-in-law, Don Ragland of Breckenridge; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Young County Masonic Lodge.
