Amber Casteel Meacham

Amber Casteel Meacham, passed from this life on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the age of 43.  Visitation will be Wednesday March 22, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.  Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Graham with Michael Cyr and Terri Lynn Collie officiating.  Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Amber was born March 23, 1979 in Archer City, Texas to Donavan E. and Deborah Kay Casteel.  She graduated Cum Laude in 1997 from Graham High School.  She attended nursing school at NCTC and graduated with an LVN.  She loved nursing and helping people.

Amber married Kelly Meacham, February 13, 2018 making their home in Wichita Falls.  On September 27, 2018 they were blessed with a beautiful boy, Kellen.  With the birth of Kellen her nursing degree was magnified tenfold.  She was a force to be reckoned with.  She became a fierce advocate for children with Down Syndrome and their families.  She supported The Upside Advocacy and Advancement for Individuals with Down Syndrome and The ARC Programs.  She loved all the friendships made while doing The Buddy Walk.  Raising awareness was forefront in every decision made for Kellen.  Every waking moment was spent learning, teaching, helping and praising him.

Survivors include; husband, Kelly Meacham; son, Kellen Meacham; mother, Deborah Casteel and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and family friends who will miss her dearly, but none more than her sweet Kellen.

Amber was preceded in death by her father Donavan E. Casteel, brother James Daniel “Danny” Casteel, sister Annette Casteel, grandparents Franklin and Louise Thompson and Ed and Roxa Casteel.
