Annelle J. Allen

Annelle J. Allen, 83, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Graham. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Truett Chapel of First Baptist Church, Dallas with Dr. Robert Jeffress, Senior Pastor officiating. Burial will follow Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Graham.

Annelle was born March 16, 1927 in San Antonio to the late James Giles and Pallie Elizabeth (Saunders) Jones. She married A.G. Allen, Jr., November 1, 1946 in San Antonio. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1998. Annelle was a resident of Dallas for over 50 years having moved to Graham in 2008. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas for over 60 years. She was a retired medical receptionist for Cigna Health Care in Dallas. Annelle was a loving mother and Mimi to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include; daughter, Diane Kanagy of Evergreen, CO.; son, Alfred G. (Rusty) Allen, III and wife Karen of Graham; five grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Kanagy, Ansley Lumpkin and husband Payton, Richard Allen and wife Katie, and Amanda Allen; two great grandchildren and one on the way, Riley and Parker Lumpkin and Baby A; also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
