Annie Olyen Harrell

Annie Olyen Harrell, 94, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 in Rising Star.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham.  Burial will follow at Cundiff Cemetery in Cundiff under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  

Annie was born August 3, 1927 in Saratoga to the late Robert Aaron and Minnie Whelborn (Paulson) Rountree.  Annie married Martin Harrell February 12,1947 in Marietta and was married for 55 years before his death in 2002.  She attended Old Gospel Church in Cisco, Texas where she will be leaving a host of friends. She loved playing games especially SkipBo and Farkle and was a mean competitor at both.  She was a creative soul that crocheted many a blanket for kids and grandkids.  She also had numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves behind the legacy of a large family that will miss her very much. 

Survivors include: Daughters, Shirley White and husband, Jerry of Cisco, Dorcas Condict of Clyde, Naomi Tucker and husband, Mike of Fort Worth, and Katie “Gracie” Campbell of Paris; sons, Joseph Harrell and wife, Connie of Tuscola and Richard “Pete” Harrell and wife, Beverly of Cisco; sister, Ima Jean Weeks of Lufkin; 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Harrell, parents, Robert and Minnie Rountree, brothers, Herman, Luther, Jerry, and Herbert “Pete”, and sisters, Lenorantine “Sis” Bonham and Iva Ruth and her great-great grandson, Keegan Vasquez. 

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
