Barry Michael Cheren, 72, passed peacefully into God's arms Friday, November 28, 2014, in Graham, Texas. A celebration of his life will be held at Faith Center in Graham on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
Barry was born on March 29, 1942 in New York, New York. He graduated from Coral Gables High School in Coral Gables Florida in 1959. He received his BS Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton School of Finance in 1963. Barry was a Branch Manager for major stock brokerage companies throughout his career and was known for his ability to train and develop young professionals. He was also a Mason and was happy to have recently connected with his Brothers at the Young County Masonic Lodge.
Barry married Diane Wells September 9, 1999 and relocated with her to Graham in 2011. Barry loved to travel, make everyone laugh and talk about his greatest passion - his children and grandchildren.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, George Cheren and Helen Ruth Daitch, son Scott Cheren and sister Diane Cheren Sullivan.
Barry is survived by his wife Diane of Graham, daughter Robin Siff and husband Larry of Plantation, Florida, daughter Jodi Spector and husband Brian of Windermere, Florida and son Michael Cheren and wife Jenny of Brandon, Florida. He is survived by seven grandchildren: Courtney Spector, Ashley Spector, Natalie Spector, Joshua Siff, Zachary Siff, Haley Cheren and Scott Cheren. Barry is also survived by his niece Elayne Samarkos, special in-laws, the Johnny Wells Family of Graham, and beloved pets Tally and Remie.
