Bessie Lorraine Petty

Bessie Lorraine Petty, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Bessie was born March 14, 1928 in LaPryor to the late Alford and Grace Agnes (Moreland) Petty. She attended Fox Hollow and Bunger Elementary Schools and Graham Junior High and High Schools. Bessie was a longtime resident of Garden Terrace Healthcare and she was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sisters, Grace P. Hodges of Post and Jo Beth Townsend of Carrollton; brother, Robert O. Petty and wife, Patricia of Bassett, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by brothers, R.B and Henry Petty and sisters, Ruby Petty, Rosa Lee Barrett, Virginia P. Cutshall, Lucille P. Jones, and Thelma Lou McMakin.
