Betty Louise Smith Hardin, 83, of Graham, Texas passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 10:00am at the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Betty was born June 24, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to the late William Russell and Margret (Harvey) Smith. She married Marvin Clint Hardin on December 23, 1951 in Goleta , California. Betty stated that she had loved Marvin dearly for life. She graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in music. Betty was a member of Alpha Delta Phi and was a choir director for Lackland Baptist Church in San Antonio for 19 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Graham. Betty and Marvin moved to Graham from Bismark, Arkansas in 1999.
Survivors: husband; Marvin Clint Hardin of Graham, daughters; Margrete Brandenburg and husband Paul of Indianapolis, IND., Cathy Burleson of Graham, sons; Bill Hardin of San Diego, CA., Jim Hardin and wife Kim of Lubbock, Kenny Hardin and wife Autumn of Brandon, MS. grandchildren; Marci Harrell and husband Jarod, Chris Burleson, Ryan Hardin and wife Kelly, Tyler Hardin, Travis Hardin Caroline Hardin, Luke Hardin, Kathryn Hardin, great grandchildren; Gabe Burleson, Zoey Harrell, Danielle Burleson, Porter Hardin, Jayden Harrell. A son Fredrick Clyde Hardin and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Hardin preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 16, 2012, 6pm until 8pm at Morrison Funeral Home.
