Betty Wells

Betty Jane Wells, 78, met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Center Assembly of God Church with Pastor Gary Elrod officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Betty was born November 29, 1934 in Albany, Texas to the late Robert Melvin and Myrtle Hegwood Freeman. She married the love of her life, Johnny Wells, on February 9, 1952 in Albany. Johnny and Betty shared 61 years serving God and instilling in their family the value of love and prayer. Betty spent her life as a prayer warrior over her family, friends and anyone with a need. Her beautiful smile, gentle spirit and unconditional love have touched all who have known her.

Survivors include; husband, Johnny Wells of Graham; daughter, Diane Wells Cheren and husband Barry of Graham; sons, Mike Wells and wife Jessica and Tony Wells and wife Elaine all of Graham. Her 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Betty is also survived by a sister, Robbie Lawson of Graham; brothers, Archie Freeman of Graham and Horace Freeman of Graham, and a very special friend, Tracey Terasas.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Freeman.

The family requests that memorials be made to Faith Center or any favorite charity of your choosing.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
