Bevely Williams

Bevely A. Williams, 66, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Newcastle. Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Bevely was born April 21, 1948 in Olney to the late J.B. and Virginia (Souther) Fox. She married Pooch Williams August 3, 1963 in Newcastle and 51 1/2 years were spent together in Fort Belknap. Bevely was co-owner of Williams Farms of Fort Belknap along with her husband. They raised watermelons and superior coastal bermuda hay for many years. Bevely was known over a large area in North Texas for her farm products. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newcastle and the Newcastle Fire Department.

Survivors include: husband, Pooch Williams of Ft. Belknap; daughter, Teresa Jones and husband, Bear of Ft. Belknap; grandson, Casey Jones and wife, Hayle of Haskell and great grandson, Heston Tatum of Haskell; sisters, Mary Wooldridge and husband, Larry of Graham and Glenda Cates and husband, Wayne of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Billie Jacobson of Eden; brother-in-law, Guy Brooks of Sunset.

Memorials may be made to Young County Humane Society.

Family visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
