Bill Ridenour, 84, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 in Graham, TX. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethel Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Bill was born August 28, 1930 in Spanish Fort, TX to the late Jacob Allen and Onah (Rich) Ridenour. He married Marilyn Theresia Warden December 31, 1954 in Dalhart. Billy was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from General Telephone & Electronics. He was a member Bethel Baptist Church and a deacon both at Bethel and at Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart, TX until moving to Graham.
Bill did maintenance and handyman work for any church he was a member of and often assisted elderly members of the community with needed tasks. He enjoyed woodworking of any kind, loved motorcycles and was a member of Christian Motorcycle Association for several years.
Survivors include: wife, Marilyn Ridenour of Graham; a son, Richard Lee Ridenour and wife, Valerie of Amarillo; 3 daughters, Theresia Grimes and husband, Eddie Carl of Graham, Kaye Rogers and husband, Gerald of Amarillo, and Sherri Helterbran and husband, Scott of Chandler, Arizona; sisters, Nazelle Griffith of Pottstown, Pennsylvania and Nadene Courtlyn Clayton of Creekside, Missouri; brothers, Jake Ridenour of Frederick, Oklahoma and Virgil Ridenour of Terrebon, Oregon; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Ridenour.
