Billie Jean Hanna

Billie Jean Hanna, 79, passed away at her home Monday, August 1, 2022.  Funeral will be Friday 10:00 a.m. August 5, 2022 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Billie was born May 26, 1943 in Rotan, Texas to the late Bessie Lee (Winters) Eaton and Douglas Eaton.  She married Charles Hanna April 3, 1994 in Las Vegas.  Billie was a retired employee of Texas Almet.

She was a loving wife, mother, memaw/meme, aunt, cousin and friend.  She got such enjoyment with playing shuffleboard with her family and friends.  Some of her friends would even say she is the shuffleboard queen.  She was a great cook and had more kitchen gadgets than anyone can imagine, most of which came from watching and buying from infomercials.  Billie enjoyed hunting but really loved fishing.  You could often find her on her dock in her house coat with a fishing pole in her hand.  She could out-fish most.  Dancing was also a pastime for her, the Spanish two step was amazing to watch her do, and her legacy she leaves behind is her family’s love for dancing.  Last but not least she enjoyed chasing after all her grandkids and great grandkids along with watching all of their activities they were involved in.  To know her was to love her and you always knew where you stood with her.  She was a spitfire but would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need (most of which were flannel plaid or under armour lol).  She leaves behind priceless memories.

Survivors include; husband, Charles Hanna of Graham; children, Tana Carr and husband John of Graham; sons, Ricky Busch of Graham and Roger (Bubba) Busch of Lake Worth; daughters, Missy Gifford and husband Joe of Weatherford, Susan Neal and husband Jud of Graham, and Sheila Rubel and husband Rob of McKinney; sister, Vivian Tompkins of Graham; brother, Donnie Eaton of Knox City; grandchildren, Derrick Lynn Busch, Hailey Carr, Madelyn Busch, Gracie Carr, Brant Bailey, Cameron Bailey, Mackenzie Foust, Parker Bryant, Ally Nimrichter, Noah Rubel, Noel Rubel and Lyla Neal; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive and many close friends.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister Betty Stamps, sister Audrey Dyess, brothers Leo, Gary, Louis, Robert, J.C. and Carol Ray Eaton, grandsons, Derick Busch and Jessie Ray, daughter-in-law Julie Busch, and son-in-law Kory Bryant.
