Bobby Evan Brown, 80, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Nocona Cemetery in Nocona under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Bobby was born November 1, 1934 in Bellevue, Texas to Lennie (Posey) and Shelton Evan Brown. He graduated from Goldberg High School in 1952 as valedictorian of his class. He married Freda Gayle McCool on August 1, 1953. Bobby was employed by the Texas Pipeline Company for forty-two years before his retirement in 1995. During his years with Texas Pipeline Company, he and his family lived in several Texas towns including Breckenridge, Pampa, Midland, Colorado City, Crowley, and Graham. In 2013 he and Freda moved to Pecan Plantation near Granbury, Texas to be near family. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Freda Brown of Granbury; son, Darrell and wife, Sandra of Granbury; daughters, Diane Ivy and husband, Randy of Hale Center and Melanie of Abilene; 5 grandchildren, Brittany Ivy Carter and husband, Marc of Granbury, Brad Ivy of Austin, Brennan Ivy Bailey and husband, Brant of Graham, Nicole and Danielle Brown both of Granbury; 2 great grandchildren, Cooper and Quinn Carter; brother, Thomas Brown of Rockwall and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Posey Lee Brown and sister, Anna Margaret Cotton.

Family visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
