Butch Spurlin

Butch Spurlin, 70, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Butch was born June 1, 1946 in Graham. He graduated from Graham High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Vietnam. Butch worked in the oilfield most of life.

Survivors include: sons, James Spurlin of Fort Worth and Dean Spurlin of Graham; sister, Mitzi Spurlin of Newcastle; brothers, Anthony and Dennis Spurlin both of Newcastle; 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy James Spurlin, Sr. and grandparents, Claude and Oree Spurlin.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
