Carolyn Grantham

Carolyn Grantham, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Mineral Wells. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Bell of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born July 28, 1924 in Millry, Alabama to the late John and Alma (Dixon) Taylor. She has been a resident of Graham for many years where she operated Blue Top Minnow Store and was a former employee of Anthony's Department Store. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include; daughter, Lavonna Birdwell and husband Emmett of Graham; son, Johnny Fitzpatrick of Oklahoma City; sisters, Janice Beech of Chatom, AL. and Emily Williams of Hattiesburg, MS.; ten grandchildren, Vonna Sue Rogers and husband Jimmy, Charles Birdwell and wife Krissy, Regina Humphrey and husband Thomas, Amy Porter, Michael, Maci, David, Tricia, and Wayne Fitzpatrick, and Dana Osburne; ten great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, Larry Fitzpatrick, grandson, Jeffrey Dale Fitzpatrick, three sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
