Charles Allen Bishop

Charles Allen Bishop, 62, of Graham, Texas went to the Hands of the Lord Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Dallas Veterans Administration Health Care in Dallas. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 6:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Graham with Maurice Boucher and Toby Reedy officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Charles was born on June 16, 1949 in Gorman, Texas to George and Betty Bishop of Kennedale, Texas. Charles attended Breckenridge High School until he enlisted in the United States Army on November 6, 1967. On December 20, 1967 he married his high school sweethart, Nancy Collins. Charles was employed as a surveyor for Kenneth Mobley for 16 years. He was employed by Hexcel Manufacturing, worked briefly for Bruce Street, and until October 2010 was employed by Lawson Survey in Young County.
Charles is survived by his wife, Nancy Bishop of Graham, son, Charles Bishop II of Abilene, daughters, Michelle Gonzales and Heather Westerman of Graham, six grandchildren, April and Kellie Bishop, Colton and Eric Westerman of Graham, Chelsie and Chase Bishop of Abilene, mother, Betty Bishop and sister, Linda Andrews both of Mansfield. Charles is preceded in death by his father, George Bishop of Mansfield and a younger brother, Jesse Bishop of Amarillo.
