Charles Lee "Chuck" Gillentine, 61, died September 13, 2009 in Dallas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Street Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Finfrock officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Chuck was born on April 9, 1948 in Gilmer to the late Richard B. and Lillian (Upchurch) Gillentine. He was a veteran of the United States Marines serving in Vietnam. Chuck was a lifelong auto mechanic, an outdoors man where he loved to hunt and fish, and he loved life and his family.
Survivors include: fiancé Chom Sanborn of Graham; daughter, Bobbie Jo Privett and husband Jeff of Bono, Arkansas; sons, James and Jesse Gillentine of Beaufort, South Carolina; Richard Gillentine of Graham, Ron Sanborn and wife Sandra of Olney, and Richard Sanborn and wife Natalie of Frisco; sisters, Lynnette Smith and husband Tony of Gilmer and Phyllis Veach of Temple, Oklahoma; grandchildren, David, Jamie, and Michael "Mikey" Gillentine of Beaufort, South Carolina, Destiny and Maddison Privett of Bono, Arkansas, Devin Matus Stephens of Breckenridge, Shelby and Samantha Sanborn of Olney, and Alexus and Gage Gillentine of Graham; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
