Cindy Robertson Thompson

Cindy Robertson Thompson, 65, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 in Plano, Texas.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 28th at 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church in Graham.

Cindy was born December 6, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas, the second of five girls. Cindy grew up in Graham, Texas, and participated in various activities during her years at GHS, including cheerleading, volleyball, and was a class favorite. She graduated from there in 1971 and from the University of Texas at Austin in 1975. During her time at UT, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and graduated with a degree in Journalism &Public Relations. Her career took her from California across the Southwest, but Texas was always home and she returned in 2016.

Cindy loved gardening, and grew many beautiful rose bushes. Her creativity lended to making beautiful stained glass art, and she always made holidays festive for those who knew her best. Her infectious laughter and her sense of humor will be remembered by her family and friends. She also shared a love of music with her sisters, a love of Possum Kingdom Lake, and a love for Lucy, her cat.

She is survived by her son Zach Thompson of California, her sisters Marty Wells and husband Rick of Virginia, Tricia McCracken of Graham, Ann Spaulding of Flower Mound, her stepmother Sharon Robertson, two stepsisters, two nieces, Jesse Wells and Rachel Coley and nephews Chad Wells, Alex and Eric Spaulding, Ross Roark, and Bruce, Ken, Scott, and Dan Elkins. She was predeceased by her mother Patsy, her father Dr. J.E. Robertson, and her sister Michelle Brown.
