Cista Hernandez

Cista D. Hernandez, 66, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church. A private family burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Cista was born October 18, 1946 in Hondo to the late Jesus and Refugia (Gonzales) DeLeon. She married Jose S. Hernandez, Jr. April 24, 1965 in Hondo. Cista was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: husband, Jose S. Hernandez, Jr. of Graham; daughters, Alicia Arvizu and husband, Reynaldo, Inez Savage and husband, John, and Catarina Hernandez all of Graham; sons, Jose S. Hernandez, III and wife, Karla and Thomas Lee Hernandez both of Graham; sisters, Julia DeLeon Rosas of Chicago, Illinois, Martina DeLeon Guedea and husband, Roger of Hondo, and Enedina DeLeon of Hondo; brother, Xavier "Havy" DeLeon and wife, Dora of Hondo; grandchildren, Tracy Pleasant and husband, Adam, Elizabeth Garcia and husband, Jose, Marisol Arvizu, Reynaldo Arvizu, Jr., Anna Arvizu, Thomas Lee Hernandez, Marta Arvizu, Bryce Hernandez, Isabella Hernandez, John Savage, Jr., Andrew Ray Bynum, and J.D. Conder; great grandchildren, Jose Mariano Garcia, Zachary Grant Wolverton, and Adacyn Cista Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Celso Gonzalez DeLeon and Rosalio "Chalio" DeLeon.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
