Claude Eldon Irvin

Claude Eldon Irvin, 80, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Graham.  Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Claude was born September 2, 1934 at home in Lyons, Kansas to the late Ernest Jennings and Margaret Maye (Bolton) Irvin.  He married Shirley L. (Niday) May 28, 1954 at her home in Sterling, Kansas.  They had two sons there before moving to Texas in 1958 and finally settling in Graham.  In the community, Claude is best recalled as an American National Insurance Agent from 1964-1980 and Walmart from 1984-2000. 

Survivors include: wife of 60 years, Shirley Irvin of Graham; daughter, Denise Moreland and husband, Johnnie of Graham; sons, David Irvin and wife, Nannie of Lubbock, Doug Irvin and wife, Stephanie of Nocona, and Danny Irvin and wife, Evelyn of Rockledge, FL, formerly of League City; adoring sisters, Vera Burfield of Denver, Colorado, Norma Koch of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Erma Shoopman of Midland, and Eileen Bayer of Pawnee Rock, Kansas; grandchildren, David Irvin, Jr., Doug Irvin, Jr., Autumn Reo, Chance Moreland, and Evan Irvin; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbor Mike and Angie Shifflett.

Memorials may be made to Rathgeber Hospitality House in Wichita Falls.
