Colt Atkins

Colt Atkins, 33, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Lamesa. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Newcastle. Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Colt was born April 29, 1988 in Mineral Wells. He married Jennifer Clayborn June 28, 2014 in Graham. Colt worked in the oilfield for Pioneer Energy. Colt was a dedicated husband and father. His wife and children were his pride and joy. He was kind, funny, generous, and easy-going. Colt enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gaming, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include: wife, Jennifer Atkins of Graham; children, Emmalyn, Weston, and Hattie Atkins of Graham; mother, Vera Atkins of Mineral Wells; father, Norton Atkins of Possum Kingdom Lake; brother, Bryce Atkins of Mineral Wells; in-laws, Nancy and Ricky Clayborn of Newcastle; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
