David Melvin Grindle

David Melvin Grindle, 54, passed away on November 28, 2011 in Irving. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

David was born on April 19, 1957 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Vernon Joseph and Ruth Edith (Adams) Grindle. David graduated from Graham High School and worked in the oilfield. He was an avid scuba diver and taught scuba diving for many years.

Survivors include: daughter, Cynthia Cox and husband, Jeremy of Hampton, GA; brother, Fred Grindle and wife, Debbie of Corinth, TX; grandchildren, Emma and Logan Cox of Hampton, GA; nephew, Jeff Grindle and wife, Cookie and their daughter, Carlynn of Denton.

He was preceded in death by step-father, W.D. "Bill" Mullennix and sister, Brenda Ann Grindle.
