David Alexander Williams, 81, of Graham, Texas passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Graham. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00pm Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams was born March 9, 1931 in Snyder, Texas to the late Walter W. and Lena (Brooks) Williams. He graduated from The University of North Texas with a masters degree. Mr. Williams taught Industrial Arts for 34 years at Graham High School. He was chosen Teacher Of The Year in 1969 by the State of Texas. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Graham, the Jaycees and a member of The Industrial Art Teachers of Texas. Mr. Williams was a Golden Gloves State Boxing Champion at Tivy High School in Kerrville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors: daughters, Joanna Rawlins and husband Boyd of Norman, OK; Frances Flanagan and husband Rowdy of Portland, TX; Dorothy Williams of Broken Arrow, OK; loving and special friend, Betty Clark of Jacksboro, TX; grandchildren: Ross Rawlins and wife Jessica and Charles Alexander Flanagan. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lynn Williams in 1977.
A visitation will be held Monday, 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.
