Delcie O’Bryan, 96, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Carrollton, Tx. Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Delcie was born April 19, 1926 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Connie Willis Evans and Thomas Jefferson Evans. She married James O’Bryan June 26, 1949 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Delcie and Jim moved to Graham in 1951 from Virginia and raised their family there. Her husband James preceded her in death on January 27, 1995.
She was a Homemaker and a member of Church of Nazarene. Delcie’s sparkling blue eyes never meet a stranger and was filled with laughs and joy until the end. She loved meeting with her “What a Burger Bunch” on most mornings these past few years. She enjoyed gardening & taking care of others and loved her children and grandkids and lived life to the fullest.
Delcie loved being a waitress at numerous restaurants over the years, where she met and made friends with many from the community over cups of coffee.
Survivors include; son, Jimmy O’Bryan and wife Sharon of Sweeny, Tx; daughter, Susan O’Bryan Jones of Frisco, Tx.; six grandchildren, Lesley O’Bryan, wife Sandra, of Angleton, Tx.
Misty O’Bryan Ward, husband Kirk, of Weatherford, Tx. Stacy O’Bryan and wife Katrina of Freeport, Tx, Bryan Singer, of Frisco, Tx. Brady Singer, of The Colony, Tx. Brittany Singer Rock, husband Ryan of Allen, Tx. Great grandchildren Wade O’Bryan and wife Kristen, of Angleton, Tx. Kyle O’Bryan of Angleton, TX., Hunter O’Bryan and fiancé Madison Hunter, of Richwood, Tx, Kaitlyn and Tristyn O’Bryan of Freeport, Tx. Avery and Bryce Ward of Weatherford, Tx. And one great great grandchild, Ellie O’Bryan of Angleton, Tx.; sister, Betty Smathers of Colonial Heights, VA.
Preceded in death by sons, Larry and Randy O’Bryan, brothers Fred Evans, Tommy Evans, and Rodney Evans.
The Family will greet friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
