Dixie Joyce Shipman, 83, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Dixie was born September 12, 1931 in McCaulley to the late George Wesley and Carra Mae (Smith) Maberry. She married Al Shipman August 18, 1951 in McCaulley and he preceded her in death November 5, 2010.
Survivors include: daughters, Melody Delong and husband, Allen of Graham, Tonya Bennitt and husband, Ben of Austin, and Kim Dyess and husband, Richard of Fort Worth; sister, Betsy Mitchell and husband, Mitch of Graham; brother, Smitty Maberry and wife, Edna of Grand Prairie; five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Maberry.
