Don Peterson

Don Peterson, 76, passed this world and into his eternal life in heaven Monday, April 6, 2015.  Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Faith Center in Graham.  Burial will follow in Loving Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Don was born March 27, 1939 to Charles Howard and Adell Smith Peterson in Jacksboro.  Donnie was a lifelong resident of Loving.  He moved there at the age of seven and it was his home for the next 69 years.  He attended Loving School until the sixth grade.  Don graduated from Graham High School in 1958.  On April 11, 1963, he married Bobbie Jo Andrews, the love of his life.  For the next 52 years, the two of them continued to live in Loving where they raised their two daughters and operated their businesses.  Don was an active member of the Loving Community.  He devoted much of his time and resources to the town he dearly loved.  During his 69 years there he was active in the Loving Community Center, Loving Cemetery Association, Loving Homecoming Association, Loving Fire Department and Loving Shooting Club.  Don worked hard to provide for his family, better his community and make a difference in the lives of those around him. 

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jo "BJ" Peterson of Loving; two daughters, Donnett Wiley and her husband Jimmy of Loving and Tiffany Hutchison and her husband Kevin of Lakeside City.  He is also survived by four grandchildren that knew him as "Dodad", Lacey and Jeff Davis of Wichita Falls, Pete and Justyne Wiley of Loving, Joshua "Pal" Wiley of Loving, and Bobby Stone of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one cousin/brother, Danny Drennan and wife Lynell and their two daughters.

Memorials may be made to the Loving Community Center, 217 Hawkins Street, Loving, Texas 76460.

Family visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Loving Community Center.
