Donny "Don" Lynndell Wickham

A man who truly loved the Lord with his heart and was larger than life itself, Donny "Don" Lynndell Wickham, walked through the pearly gates of heaven on Saturday, May 2, at his home in Vernon surrounded by his girls.  He was born July 28, 1933 in Loving, Texas to Clarence Earl Wickham & Vera Belle (Beckman) Wickham of Farmer, Texas.

He was the baby of nine children which taught him to fight for what he wanted. As a pastor for many years, he fought in the battle against evil and won lost souls for the Lord. This was by far his biggest and proudest accomplishment, which he continued with his newsletter up until two weeks before he passed.  Through the years, he pastored a number of churches, Living Word of God Church, Markley Baptist and the latest Jean Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his mother and father Clarence & Vera Wickham: Siblings, Opal Wickham Quillin, Vivian Wickham Henderson, Collins, J Fred, Garland, Julian, Dwayne and Benny Wickham.

Survived by his three daughters and their families: Tracy Gray and her husband Chris of Vernon, Texas, Karen Wickham of Vernon, Texas, and Cheryl Craig and her husband Howard of Arlington, Texas.  Seven grandchildren  Alexandria Gray of New York City, NY., Xander Lynndell Gray, Elizabeth Gray and Ella Gray of Vernon, Tx., Heather Weddle of Beaverton, Or., April McLemore of Las Vegas, NV., and Renee Roach of Arlington, Tx., two step granddaughters Jennifer Craig of Fort Worth and Tiffany Craig Davis of Gladewater, Tx., a dear friend Christella Jones of Farmer, Tx. and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, June 20 at 1 p.m. by Bill Sanderson at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham, Tx.  Interment will follow at Farmer Cemetery.
