Dorothy Jean Bills Ligon

Dorothy Jean Bills Ligon, 90, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 in Tomball, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00am at the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel . Burial will follow at Loving Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born August 13, 1925 in Loving, Texas to the late Rush and Clemmie "Cook" Bills. She married Joe Wendell  Ligon, Sr. on November 30, 1945 in Graham. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1995. Dorothy was a nurse for 46 years. She retired as a nursing supervisor at Olney Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. She was a member of Loving Baptist Church and a member of the Texas Nurses Association.

Survivors include: sons; Joe Wendell Ligon, Jr. of Loving, John Noel Ligon of Mont Belvieu, Tx., daughters; Diane Kluna of Magnolia, Tx., Karen Sherrill of Aurora, Co., sister; Mary Glynn Mayes of Cleburne, Tx., 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great -great grandchildren also survive. Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ligon, brothers, J.R, Pat, Donald and Jack Bills and a sister Leorta Miller.

The family will be at Morrison Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00pm to greet friends.
