Dorothy McQueen

Dorothy McQueen, 90, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Graham. A Graveside funeral will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born June 17, 1924 in Buffalo, Texas to the late Fred and Lillian (Parker) Davis. She married Glenn McQueen April 25, 1942 in Edna and he preceded her in death. Dorothy was a homemaker and God gave Dorothy the gift of hospitality. She had myriads of friends in her life wherever she lived. She loved to crochet and share the many things she had made. The many friends gravitated to her home because she enjoyed friendship. Dorothy was Church of Christ and is now with our Lord and she will be missed. She lived most of her life in Victoria. With the loss of Glenn in 1993, she moved to Graham in 2004.

Survivors include: son, Bobby Glenn McQueen and wife, Jo Ann of Graham; grandchildren, Troy McQueen and wife, Judy of Henderson, Kentucky and Christy Lester and husband, Greg of Graham; great grandsons, Hayden and Jarrett Lester both of Graham; also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews of "Aunt Dot".

She was preceded in death by sister, Betty Curlee and brothers, Floyd Davis and Clyde Davis.

Because of Dorothy's love of animals and their safety, the family request memorials be made to the Young County Human Society, 120 Craig Street, Graham, Texas 76450.
