Dorothy Louise Steed, 86, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 in Burleson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born on August 11, 1925 in Wichita Falls to the late Claude and Ruth (Rainey) Terry. She married G.D. "Dick" Steed, Jr. on December 1, 1943 in Bennetsville, S.C. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1992. Dorothy moved to Graham in 1949 from Wichita Falls. She was a sales clerk at Newton's Jewelry and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Sandra Stone and husband, Carl of Burleson; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Terry Steed in 2008, sisters, Ruby Russell and Patsy Chamberlin, and brother, Bobby Terry.
