Dorthea Ann Rosenthal Burnett

Dorthea Ann Rosenthal Burnett, 101, passed away at her home, Monday, December 19, 2011. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with her grandsons, Scott Meyer of Temple and Brad Burnett of Jacksboro officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Ann was born November 21, 1910 to the late William Herman Rosenthal and Christina Kano Rosenthal, both German Immigrants. She and her siblings were first generation Americans. Ann married Lawton Wesley Burnett, March 9, 1939. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1971. She had made her home near Eliasville for 67 years. Ann was a member of Eliasville Church of Christ.

Survivors include; daughter, Sharon Meyer and husband Marty of Hurst; sons, Bill Burnett and wife Jean of Eliasville, Steve Burnett and wife Kay of San Saba; grandsons, Brad Burnett, Matt Burnett, Scott Meyer, Ryan Meyer, Brent Meyer, and Mitch McCarty; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by a stepson, L.W. Burnett, Jr., three sisters and three brothers.

The Family will greet friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
