D.W. Williamson, 88, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Graham. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

D.W. was born September 24, 1924 in Abernathy to the late Dempsey W. and Madge M. (Abney) Williamson. He married Tinie Pettit February 2, 1946 in Clovis. During WWII, he served with the 678th Bombardment Squadron in the U.S. Army Air Force in the China, Burma, India Theater. D.W. worked for Southwestern Public Service for 41 years. He volunteered for Sudan Volunteer Fire Dept, Sudan Boy Scout Leader, and was an active member in the Graham Cracker Town Sams, Lake Country RV Travel Clubs, and First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Tinie Williamson of Graham; children, Robert Williamson and wife, Marsha of Aledo, TX, Harry Williamson and wife, Martha of Lucas, Tx, and Louise Munden and husband, Bill of Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Karen Tryon and husband, Christopher, Brad Williamson, Monica Buchanan and husband, Doug, Stephanie Martin, Ernie Minyard, Cameron Minyard and wife, Nicole, Dustin Williamson and wife, Julie, and Kurtis Williamson and wife, Angela; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Josh, Allie, Drew, Josiah, Ashley, Julieann Tryon, Allie, Ryan, Skeeter, Tanner Buchanan, Lauren, Aaron, Emily Williamson, Harley and Terri McFerrin, Isabella Williamson, Ashlee Moon, Emilee Snow, Eli Hoffman, Bailee Martin, and Natalie, Alex, Aaron and Minyard.

He was preceded in death by great grandchild, Hailee Martin.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer Research Association in Wichita Falls, located at 901 Indiana, Suite 350 or the Gideons International.

Family visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
