Edward Alan Karper, Jr., 73, passed away Friday September 15, 2023 at his home. A Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.
Edward was born May 6, 1950 in Dallas to the late Frances Lucille (Ford) Karper and Edward Alan Karper, Sr. He shared his birthdate with his mother. He graduated from Graham High School, attended Tyler Junior College and Texas Tech University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. Edward was Vice-President of The Karper Company until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed his Profession in the oil and gas industry where he made many friends. Edward was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the conservation of wildlife. He fulfilled a lifelong dream on a guided hunt on Kodiak Island, Alaska where he was successful in adding a moose, a caribou, and a dahl sheep to his already extensive trophy collection. Edward was a member of the Big Horn Sheep Society and The Graham Country Club.
Survivors include; close friend, Patsy Harrell; sister, Kris Karper; brothers, Philip Karper and wife Becky, Gene Karper and wife Alison; nieces and nephews, Kallie Karper Pitcock, Kate Karper Muller and husband Bryce, Kent Karper and wife Elizabeth, Dustin Karper and Ryan Karper; great nieces and nephews, Karper Pitcock, Sophia Grace Pitcock, Fletcher Pitcock, Eleanor Karper, Mollie Karper and Mac Muller.
The Family extends a special Thank You to Beyond Faith Hospice for their loving care during Edward’s final days.
