Elsie Lee Gibbs

Elsie Lee Gibbs, 84, passed away at her home Friday, April 19, 2019. Funeral will be Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Elsie was born June 23, 1934 in Graham to the late Otha Harvey and Dollie Malinda (Lowe) Rogers. She married John Henry Gibbs, March 14, 1952 in Graham. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2016. Elsie was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. She was a lifetime resident of Graham and a homemaker.

Survivors include; daughter, Sherri Brock and husband Tommy of Graham; grandsons, Alex Basham and wife Lacy, Breck Ryan and Alyssa, Chandler Ryan, and Cason Brock; great grandchild, Macy Basham; sisters, Bonnie Austin, Lola Wooldridge, Carolyn Westerman, and Linda Hooper all of Graham; brothers, Murvin Rogers and Harold Rogers of Graham; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Elsie was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Barnett and Janice Chappell.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
