Eugene W. McCracken, 76, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Eugene was born November 21, 1936 in Graham to the late Than and Nannie Mae (Weninegar) McCracken. He married Carla Faye Green on August 27, 1961 in Minden, Louisiana. Eugene received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in 1959 and a Juris Doctor in 1961. He was admitted to State Bar of Texas in 1961. He was a lifetime member of NRA, TSRA, Past President of Rotary Club, Past Master of Young County Masonic Lodge # 485, and Scottish Rite. Eugene was one of the founders of Little League Football of Graham. He was an All State Guard at Graham High School and a walk on at Baylor University Football Team. He was a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Graham and a member of Graham All Century Football Team, Board of Trustees at Graham General Hospital from 1971 to 1974, chairman of Board of Directors at Graham Savings and Loan, 50 plus member of Grand Lodge of Texas, and member and director of Media group at First Baptist Church.

Survivors include; wife, Carla McCracken of Graham; daughter, Marla Coleman and husband, Russell of Caddo Mills; sons, Than McCracken and wife, Shawn of Graham and Matt McCracken and wife, Angela of Spring; six grandchildren, Adria Kachtik and husband, Drew of Graham, Jeremy Lee Allen of Graham, Macey McCracken of Graham, Ryan and Cody Coleman of Caddo Mills, and Cate McCracken of Spring; great grandchild, Kenna Lee Kachtik.

Family visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Young County Masonic Lodge, or a favorite charity.
