Eupha Louella Franklin

Eupha Louella Franklin, 92, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Denton. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Eupha was born July 24, 1920 in Abilene to the late Barney Cornelius and Lula Johnnie (Chandler) Dikes. She married George Hoyt Franklin, Sr. February 12, 1940 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death January 3, 1988. Eupha co-owned City Bakery in Graham and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include: sons, G. Hoyt Franklin, Jr. and wife, Wanda of Trophy Club, W.C. Franklin of Iowa Park, and Larry Don Franklin and wife, Melissa of Jacksonville, Arkansas; sister, Autavee Hartney and husband Chuck of Wichita Falls; brother, James Dikes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Rodney Craig Franklin; three sisters, Virginia Williams, Louise Holcomb, and Wanda Beth Coombs, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Carol Franklin.
