Evelyn B. Chapman

Evelyn B. Chapman, 89, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in Haltom City, Texas. A graveside service will be Monday, December 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Eliasville Cemetery with Reverend Leo Brooks, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Breckenridge officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born May 23, 1919 in Eliasville to the late Robert Dee and Annie Laura (Kirkland) Poindexter. She married Russell Durwood Chapman, June 5, 1939 in Eliasville, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1995. Evelyn was a former co-owner of City Sewing Center in Graham for many years and a longtime resident of Eliasville. She moved to North Richland Hills in 1995.

Survivors include; daughter, Ann Sanders of North Richland Hills; sister, Gladys Geis and husband Ernest of Graham; six grandchildren, Don, Dan, Dianna, Missy, Angie, and Raquel; nine great grandchildren, Tiffany, Krystle, RaBeca, Chloe, Jordan, Savanah, Danielle, Alex, and Austin; one great great granddaughter, Autumn Ann.
Evelyn was preceded in death by two daughters, four sisters, one brother, a grandson and a great grandson.
The Family will be at Morrison Funeral Home Monday from 12:30 to 1:30.
