Faye Dell Proffitt

Faye Dell Proffitt, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Visitation is Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Graham Church of God. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Faye was born July 17, 1926 in Graham to Albert Cleo and Mabel Jean (West) Calhoun. She married Hollis William Proffitt, January 22, 1944 in Graham. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1992. Faye was a lifetime resident of Graham and a member of Graham Church of God. She was a former employee of Walmart, nurse’s aide for many years, and a homemaker.

Faye loved to travel and enjoyed many family vacations with her children and grandchildren around the U. S. and Mexico. She adored all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and Nana spent as much time as she could with them riding roller coasters, playing games and just having fun.

Survivors include; daughters, Margie Barr and husband Ira of Graham, Brenda Jones and husband Dick of Graford; daughter-in-law, Myrtle Proffitt; grandchildren, Rebecca Davis, Steven Holman, Chad Proffitt, Kyle Jones and wife Cassie, Kevin Jones and wife Megan, Keith Jones and fiancé Heaven, Arlan and Ronald Westerman; eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, son, William Proffitt, grandson, Johnny Ray Holman, granddaughter, Carol Thompson, great granddaughter, Amber Lowe, and three sisters, Marie Gathings, Jolene Savis and Annette Green.
