Florence Brumley Tate, 94, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Florence was born November 15, 1919 in Navarro County to the late Mack and Minnie (Echols) Cole. She married Frank Brumley, Sr. May 9, 1942 in Breckenridge. He preceded her in death April 2, 1963. She later married Johnny Tate and he also preceded her in death. Florence did factory work and worked many years as a nurse's aide. She worked in the church teaching Sunday School and worked in the nursery at church for many years. She also ironed for the public until age 87. Florence was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: children, Don Brumley and wife, Sue of Olney, Frank Brumley and wife, Sandra, Elizabeth Cooper, and Linda McCrory and husband, Joe all of Graham; sister, Jean Laminack of Peoria, Arizona; brother, Virgil Cole of Tyler; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren.

Florence was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth West, 2 grandsons, Jarrod Brumley and Mark West, two brothers, Earl and Sie Cole, and sisters, Creetie Creighton, Effie Hogan, and Mae Fair.

Family visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
