Frances M. (Thigpen) Fletcher, 94, passed on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in Munday. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Dorman Holub of Eastside Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Frances was born on December 29, 1915 in Coleman County, Texas to the late William Frank and Mattie Belle (Skinner) Thigpen. She married Henry Jesse Fletcher on November 6, 1938 in Santa Anna, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1999. Frances taught bible class for 48 years at Eastside Church of Christ in Graham and in Coleman Church of Christ. Before that she worked for the Coleman Flying School during World War II and for several retail businesses as well as the family business, Johns and Fletcher Food Store in Graham. She was a trustee for Central Texas Area Museum in Salado and a former member of the Mamie Stewart Garden Club.

Survivors include: son, William Adrin Fletcher of Munday; daughter-in-law, Terri L. (Hoch) Fletcher of Munday; grandsons, Colin W.H. Fletcher and wife, Stacey of Houston and Scott H.T. Fletcher of Austin; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Mattie Mae (Thigpen) Watson and Daisy (Thigpen) Hudler, brothers, D.L. Thigpen, Ralph Leroy Thigpen, and Willian "Bill" Thigpen, Leland Thigpen, and an infant son.

Memorials may be to the Central Texas Area Museum in Salado or a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
