Gene Conklin Hunt

Imogene "Gene" Gachter Conklin Hunt, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior December 13, 2014 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Gene was born July 30, 1929 in Graham to the late Allie B. Cates and Clyde Gachter. She attended North Texas State University until she married Clyde Kelly Conklin on June 29, 1948. He preceded her in death April 28, 1992. They lived in Graham until 1977, when they moved to Benbrook. They enjoyed spending time with their family, working with their home landscape and traveling whenever they could. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her second husband, J.V. Hunt and sister, Lois Inman.

Survivors: sons, Cary Conklin and wife, Carolyn of Benbrook, Kevin Conklin and wife, Karan of Grapevine, and Kirk Conklin and wife, Donna of Stephenville; sister, Bobbye Lott of Houston; brothers, Clyde "Sonny" Gachter and wife, Wanda of Haltom City and Richard Crawford and wife, Vivian of Smithville; grandchildren, Carson Conklin and wife, Lindsay of Kerrville, Colby Conklin and wife, Brandy of Cedar Hill, Jason Conklin and wife, Roxana of Boyd, Ryan Conklin and wife, Taylor of Senoia, GA, Rachel Conoly and husband, Morgan of Stephenville, and Kelly Miller and husband, Joe of Stephenville; 12 great grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews, and three step-sons.
