Gene Overcash

Gene Overcash, 87, of Graham, Texas passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodson Cemetery in Woodson under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Gene was born October 14, 1925 in Woodson, Texas to the late Jess Wade and Lorene (Newton) Overcash. He married Kathie Allen on March 26, 1983 in Archer City, Texas. Gene was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Graford and a longtime rancher.

Survivors: wife; Kathie Overcash of Graham, daughter; Sharon Bitters and husband Johnny of Graford, sons; Colton Overcash, Scotty Overcash and wife Diane of Santo, step-children; Kim Riley and husband Billy of Cookville, Randy Elmore and wife Monse of Fate, Joe Bob Elmore of Cookville, grandchildren; Dayna Overcash, Micah Williams, Brandon Bitters, Mitchelle Overcash, Dylan Overcash,
great grandchildren; Cody Tillery, Cayla Tillery, Shelbie Pendergraft, Layton Williams, Bryson Williams, Justin Bitters, great-great grandchildren, Kamdyn Pendergraft, Kambreigh Irby, sisters in law; Annie May Overcash, Joyce Box, Linda Pendergraft, Kay Box, Laville Overcash. Numerous nieces and nephews and special friends also survive.

Gene was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Overcash, sons, Christopher Dean Overcash and Monty Charles Overcash, brothers, Jess, Wade, Foy, and Jim Bill Overcash.
