Gene Thomas Steadham

Gene Thomas Steadham, 85, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Gene was born on September 24, 1926 in Graham to the late Walter Edward and Velma (Brown) Steadham. He married Juanita Steadham on December 16, 1948 in Graham. She preceded him in death on December 31, 2005. Gene was a veteran of the United States Merchant Marines and worked in the oilfield.

Survivors include: daughters, Gail Herd and husband, David of Ace and Sandra Creswell and husband, Terry of Graham; son, William Steadham and wife, Daisy of Conroe; sister, Irene Dixon of Graham; brother, Richard Steadham of Eldorado, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Laverne Ramsey.
