George F. Moren, 93, died Monday, February 16, 2009 in Wichita Falls. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
George was born July 20, 1915 in Young County to the late Lewis Frederick Moren and Ora Myrtle Chestnut Moren. George married Nora Bell Phillips April 20, 1946 in Weatherford, Texas. She preceded him in death in 1980.
George retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1971. He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and moved back to Graham where he has been an active farmer and rancher. He was a member of Air Force Sergarents Association and Oak Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include; sister, Gayle Thetford and husband Carl of Graham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
George was preceded in death by a sister, Thena Moren and a brother, Bob Moren.
