Georgia Anable

Georgia Lee Anable, 90, passed away at her home in Graham, Wednesday August 27, 2014. A gathering to celebrate the life of Georgia will be held Monday, September 1, 2014 at 1409 Tanglewood from 3 to 6 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Georgia was born January 20, 1924 in Graham to the late George Isaac and Rosa Lee (Dozier) McCallister. She married Lawrence Ray Anable, October 25, 1941 in Young County, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1990. Georgia lived in Graham until she was 40 years old and was employed at Stone Shoe Store. She had been a resident of Abilene where she worked at The Bootery. Georgia returned to Graham in 2011 with her daughter.

Survivors include; daughter, Sheree Belew of Graham; grandsons, Jonathan Belew and wife Jennifer Chilek of Rusk, Jeffery Belew, USAF and wife Sarah of Newmarket, England; sister, Olene Mackay of Dallas; nieces, Carolyn Lawrence of Dallas and Sharon Blevins; nephew, Rex McCallister of Bowie.

Mrs. Anable was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Lee Todd Anable, brothers, Truman and Ezra McCallister.
