Gerald James McCain

Gerald James McCain, 76, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Eastside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Gerald was born on June 1, 1936 in Canton to the late C.W. and Zora (Shackleford) McCain. He married Cindy Richmond on June 28, 1958 in Odessa. Gerald graduated from Odessa High School and was a Safety Representative for Phillips Petroleum Company. He moved to Graham in 1995 and was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

Survivors include: wife, Cindy McCain of Graham; daughter, Rita Evans and husband, Chip of Weatherford; son, Jim McCain and wife, Kathy of Graham; sister, Sharon Burnett and husband, Don of Westbrook; brothers, Gus Lamb of Junction and J.C. McCain of San Antonio; 5 grandchildren, Kristina Pettus and husband, Wyatt, Zachary McCain and wife, Mallory, Paige McCain, Natalie Hudson, and Johnny Mac Delaney; 5 great grandchildren, Olivia, Wyatt, Ella, Tristan, and Cree.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Odell Lamb, Donald Ray Lamb, and Jerry George McCain and sister, Lela Beth McCain.

Memorials may be made to Eastside Church of Christ in Graham.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
