Gladys Sassman Lewis

Gladys Estelle Sassman Lewis, 100, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Graham.  Funeral service will be Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Eastside Church of Christ.  Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Dallas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Gladys was born February 7, 1918 in McDade, Texas to the late Thomas Lee Snowden and Lou Ella (Hague) Snowden.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dudley Sassman and her second husband Vernon Lewis.  Gladys was a longtime resident of Young County and a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

Survivors include; granddaughters, Kerri Lunsford and husband Will of Midland, Donna Thompson and husband Lee of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Davis Lunsford of Midland, Peyton Lunsford and wife Hannah of Midland, Sarah Lunsford Kelly and husband Colt of Waco, Kate Lunsford of Midland, Taylor, Case, Emma Beth, and Holt Thompson of Nashville, TN.

Gladys was preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Beth Sassman Black and seven siblings.
