Gloria Wayne Moorhouse White passed away peacefully June 9, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. in Graham, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Gloria was born to Coleman and Ruby Sams Moorhouse on July 16, 1928, in Knox City, Texas. She graduated from Radford School in El Paso, Texas, and attended the University of New Mexico where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi national sorority.
Gloria ranched most of her adult life in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, where she was an active member of the Methodist Church. Ranch life was Gloria’s passion. She moved to Graham in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving Gloria are three sons and their families; Coley and wife, Sherry of New Braunfels; Ron and wife, Karen, of Graham; Sam and wife, Sondra, of College Station. Grandchildren; Kindel Doucet and husband, Eric of The Woodlands; Ryan and wife, Sarah of Amarillo; Eric and wife, Christine, of Amarillo; Alan and wife, Ashley of Conroe; Autum Flores and husband, Jeff of Denver, Colorado; Chris and wife, Amy of Dallas; Matt of Dallas, and Quentin of College Station. Great-grandchildren surviving are Morgan, Carter, and Connor Doucet of The Woodlands; Clayton of Memphis; Faith and Ella of Amarillo; Kylee and Owen of Amarillo; Parker of Conroe and Eden of Denver, Colorado. Gloria is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
LoLo (as she was known by many) treasured her family and friends and enjoyed keeping up with them and hearing stories about their lives. Her love of travel and flying took her to many places around the United States and world. She had a unique appreciation of New Mexico, especially its art, clothes and jewelry. She loved paint horses, beautiful flowers, Coca-Cola and Hershey’s chocolate, going to movies, playing cards and dancing to classic country music.
